San Jose's firefighters and police officers agree that political rhetoric and posturing should be set aside and that city leaders and public safety unions should focus on finding solutions to serious public safety challenges. Moving forward, however, must begin with a clear record.

San Jose police officers routinely encounter families who are struggling financially during these difficult times. This holiday season, members of the San Jose Police Officers’ Association opened their wallets and contributed $2,400 dollars to distribute Target gift cards to San Jose families.

San Jose Police Officers' Association Offers $10,000 Reward for the Arrest of Second Suspect in Officer Shooting

San Jose (CA)--Today, the San Jose Police Officers' Association is offering a $10,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of the second suspect involved in Friday night's crime spree that culminated in SJPD officers being shot at. One officer was injured by gunfire.

Mercury News Editor Bullies Candidate to Quit; Metro Exposes How Editorial Board Operates

Metro Newspaper reported that San Jose Mercury News Editorial Page Editor Barbara Marshman offered an editorial consisting of "lavish" to a candidate in exchangefor that candidate quitting a race. Marshman attempted to pressure Barbara Keegan, a candidate for the Santa Clara Valley Water District Board, to pull out of the race to boost the chances of the Mercury’s preferred candidate David Ginsborg.
